The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters recommended that the cosmetics test corner be shut down or minimized. The guidelines are part of the draft "Detailed Guidelines for the Prevention of Social Distancing" released by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on 24th April, 2020.

The draft has drawn up 31 detailed guidelines based on the principles of "Harmony of daily life and quarantine," "Learning and Participation" and "Creative Utilization" in all 12 ministry departments.

The final guidelines will be announced through discussions at the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters after public hearings, expert hearings and in cooperation with related ministry departments.

According to this draft, users of distribution facilities, such as department stores, large discount stores, shopping complex, chain supermarkets, and outlets, refrain from using cosmetics samples directly on their faces or lips(hand-washing or hand-washing recommended after testing), use hand sanitizers before using public shopping carts or shopping baskets. And recommended to use 'Untact payment(mobile pay, QR codes, NFC cards, etc.)' if possible. It is also encouraged to maintain a distance of at least 2m(min. 1m) between the salesperson and the customer, and to provide assistance by installing transparent partitions, if necessary.

The workplace should allow those who have fever or respiratory symptoms or have traveled abroad within the last 14 days to use telecommuting, sick leave, annual leave, vacation, or leave of absence from work, video conferencing, and telephone meetings.

Detailed instructions can be found on the COVID-19 micropage(ncov.mohw.go.kr), the Ministry of Health and Welfare website(mohw.go.kr) and each ministries' website.
