A typical emulsifier is a surfactant made through a chemical process. The chemical emulsifier was replaced by the world's first skin microorganism (EPI-7).
This development has opened the way to make pure natural cosmetics, which has been a long-cherished goal in the cosmetics industry. Unlike general emulsification methods, the microbial emulsification system is a process that can make emulsions with only human-beneficial microorganisms, without the use of chemical surfactants or help from a machine.
