Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has signed a public-private partnership agreement with AmorePacific to establish a Jeju-type RE100 trading market system to expand renewable energy and stabilize the operation of renewable energy projects.
RE100 (abbreviation of 100% Renewable Electricity, 100% use of renewable energy) is an international campaign aiming to cover 100% of renewable energy such as wind power, which is essential for corporate activities.
Although it is a voluntary campaign, 379 global companies such as Apple and Google (as of September 22) have declared and implemented "RE100 management," and 22 companies such as SK and AmorePacific are participating in the campaign in Korea.
