Jeju Techno Park (Jeju TP) Biodiversity Research Institute said on November 16 that it has confirmed that dietary fiber and water-soluble polysaccharides contained in winter black radish grown in Jeju can strengthen immunity by activating macrophages that increase immune response. Macrophages are known to act as phagocytes that decompose cell residues, foreign substances, microorganisms, and cancer cells.
These research results were published in the November 2022 issue of the internationally prestigious journal "Pharmaceuticals".
