The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute certified six technologies (one for food hygiene, four for medical devices and one for cosmetics) through the third New Excellent Technology Certification Assessment in 2018.

The Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute certified six technologies (one for food hygiene, four for medical devices and one for cosmetics) through the third New Health Technology Certification Assessment in 2018. The NET certification mark is granted by the Minister of Health and Welfare to the nation's first developed health technology under Article 8 of the Health and Medical Service Technology Promotion Act. The certification is conducted three times a year, and applications are available online (http://technomart.khidi.or.kr). The newly certified technology is valid within a maximum of five years from June 1, 2018, and can receive various supports such as use of NET mark, technology development funds (such as technology credit guarantees), insurance registration, priority purchase benefits of new technology-enabled products (by state agencies and public institutions), and the placement of domestic and foreign technology transactions.
