Kolmar Korea is collaborating with Dermatest, a leading cosmetics safety measurement organization in Europe, to develop cosmetic efficacy evaluation methods.

Kolmar Korea signed a ‘joint research agreement (MOU) for human application testing’ on March 7 at the Kolmar Korea Advanced Institute of Technology in Naegok-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. The signing ceremony was attended by Moon Byeong-seok, head of Kolmar Holdings Korea's technology research institute, and Dermatest founder Dr. Werner Voss.

Through this agreement, both parties will develop various efficacy evaluation methods expected by consumers in the cosmetics markets. Kolmar Korea will develop new evaluation methods based on its accumulated technology, and Dermatest plans to review these evaluation methods and apply to the 'Dermatest Certification Mark' test.

Kolmar Korea plans to help customers acquire the Dermatest certification mark for various product functionality. The certification will help customers to expand their global presence.

Dermatest was established in Germany in 1978 and is a globally trusted testing institute with over 45 years of research experience. Dermatologists and allergists use scientific methods to evaluate the safety and efficacy of cosmetics, consumer goods, health supplements, and medical devices in order to grant certification marks, which in turn gain trust and credibility from global markets.
