The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety developed a 10-type pigment analysis method that can be applied to lipstick and eye shadow to prevent the illegal manufacture and sale of cosmetics and improve the quality of distributed cosmetics, on October 31st.

Among the pigments available for cosmetics announced in the "Cosmetics Pigment Type, Criteria, and Test Method", the pigments selected in consideration of the frequency of use are Green 204, Yellow 4, Red 2, Blue 2, Red 402, Yellow 202 (1), Red 103 (1), Dyeok 205 and Purple 401. The added usability ingredients are substances such as preservatives, pigments, and sunscreen that have been designated and announced in accordance with Article 8 of the Cosmetics Act.

The main revisions include △ Physical and chemical information about the target pigment △ Detailed analysis method △ Chromatogram (separating similar components from the mixture according to the moving speed) and examples of the results and △References.
